Leg 57- Nov 13- Alamo, UT

Today was a day of splitting.  Myles returned to the vegas airport.  I took the Cruze to St. George to pick up more RV parts while Dallas took the RV, EP, and Sasha to the next stop.  My drive got delayed by stopping to get my Flu Shot (after hearing some rough stories of flu this year).  As I came over into Nevada (you can drive on Nevada roads very fast and it's incredibly fun), I passed a town called Caliente which still had a Radio Shack and an old cool Railroad Depot.    As I finished my drive, I came into an ancient dried lakebed.  I can never really capture the majesty of these wide open views but it really stirred my soul.  I met back up with EP, Dallas and Sasha where we fixed more of the RV and had a relaxing night in.

Leg 49- Nov 1- Sedona, AZ

Vicki got to read and play with EP all morning which was cute as a button.  Later that day, Aunt Marlene took us to Sedona which everyone said was magical.  We got a good recommendation from the Park Rangers for a short 4 mile loop.  Aunt Marlene and EP made animal noises to each other the entire walk back.

Leg 48- Oct 31- Munds Park, AZ

This day was rather odd.  We attempted to get the Bounder to free campground but missed the turn.  We attempted to take a roundabout road back to save time; it turned out we had to drive up a mostly washed out cliff with a nearly destroyed guardrail then across a nearly entire sand road.  We finally made it to the park, hid the Bounder in a camp spot then boogied out with the Cruze south.  We made it to Munds Park, AZ where my Uncle Walter, Aunt Marlene and Cousin Vicki were waiting at their family cabin.  We took a short walk (Dallas and I had trouble breathing from the altitude again) then Vicki and I went to a midnight park and put Dad's ashes under a meteor shower in Arizona.

August 23 to August 25- MV Matanuska, Inside Passage, Canada

Mama Hanson was in town in Ketchikan so we decided to have some beautiful times and take the Alaska Marine Highway (aka the ferry) south to Bellingham Washington.   The M/V Matanuksa (our ferry) was built in 1962.  Although it was modernized with new engines and carpet and such, it still maintains that 1960s aesthetic; it is like riding at time machine.  The views and gorgeous trip was magical.  I highly recommend it for any person who appreciates outdoor beauty.  So relaxing.  We also got visited by dolphins (or maybe porpoises) as seen in the video here.

August 8 to August 22- Ketchikan, AK

Dallas needed some relax time so she went to a magical place on earth, her brother Myles' house.  We relaxed at Myles' house while EP's only uncle bonded with her.  Grandma Hanson arrived and enjoyed some time with her family.  Delightfully as well, my great friend John Bohman joined us.
We had to grab EP and outrun the incoming tide

June 3 to August 8- Naknek, AK

We spent 66 days in Naknek, Alaska.  Eliza Pearl and I stared at each, screamed at eagles and rode around in both a 1995 Mercury Sable and a net cart.  We crossed the tundra, escaped bears, and terrorized the library.  EP celebrated her first birthday in a forklift repair shop.  Dallas worked like a dog in the main office helping with the Salmon fleet.  Our apartment was nestled in an boat yard with zero neighbors.
