I saw a boat!

A French built, wooden sailing ship came to Alexandria, and, since it was the it thing to do, I saw it. The ship is called the Hermione and it is a best recreation of the ship that General Lafayette used to come to the New World. I managed to rope my friends Sharon and David to come with me. It was huge and filled with Frenchies so I know David loved it. One interesting component of its construction was they used the actual techniques that French shipbuilders would have used over 150 years ago.

I bought a house!

It wasn't shown on the blog here but I bought a house! It was owned by a family for a long time who had decided it was no longer useful to them. Fortunately, it was just perfect timing as I wanted a house with a lot of acres. It was very very very run down and the land had been used by some eclectic folks for some very odd uses. I'll go into it later but I have a 3 bedroom, 1 bath house that is built like a tank. Lots of posts to come about upgrades and fixes but here you are seeing it for the first time.

Sasha!

I adopted a dog from a rescue shelter. She initially chose me and climbed into my lap almost immediately then would not leave. We got along great as she cuddled with me the first night. Now she comes with me everywhere I can take her and she indispensable for Andyland.
