RV Modifications- Prior to Trip

So our RV seems to be built for a weekend warrior or short trip adventure.  However, we know many people live in their RV full time and have a great time with it.  Ours needed modifications to get it the way we wanted and to remove some extraneous material.  The back bedroom had a basic bedframe but it prevented the rest of the room to be used for anything useful, hence Kibrom and I tore the bedframe out.  We also tore the cable hookup, CRT TVs out, and installed new modern TV systems (i.e. Xbox One).  We moved electrical connections and modified the gas lines so we can use bottled gas or run external gas components (like a grill or lantern).  Protip- lubricating all of the locking mechanisms with powdered graphite made all the difference in the world.

ABS Module Adventures- Our Delay

Some folks have known that our adventure was delayed from starting out by a rare missing part.  The ABS Module on this particular vehicle was extremely hard to find.  A 4C3Z-2C219-CARM or 4C3Z2C219CARM was made for a short time, it's not made anymore, all of the spares have been bought and it's very critical.  After spending 2.5 months, looking for it and probably 100s of phone calls.  I finally found a group who fixes it.  Shout out to https://www.g7computers.com/ for fixing it perfectly, fast and getting it back quickly.

A New Adventure- It has been a while.

It has been a while since I've really updated this blog.  Some things have changed!  I've got a wife now and a beautiful baby girl named Eliza Pearl (or EP).  We've been living a great life in Arlington but we wanted to do something different.  Our spin on the great wheel of life has us preparing for a live in RV trip.  Our first step was we bought a 36' 1999 Fleetwood Bounder.  Over the past 5 months, we've been working on fixing it up and modifying it for our lifestyle needs.  Dallas's brother helped us do a test run back in February.  Let me confirm that if you read a blog on RVing telling you to do a test run, you should do a test run before a big trip.  I'll tell you more about it in the next post.
