Tara, Pop and I went to the Preakness stakes this year. I generally got clobbered in the races early in the day without winning a single one. Tara decided we had to go to the infield which happened to have Armin Van Buuren playing. After some good dancing, lots of partying and general aural pleasure, we headed back into the infield where we bet on the Preakness itself. Shockingly, I ended up hitting the exacta on the race which brought me to 10 dollars positive!

Company Fishing Trip

Our company decided we needed to bond a little more so we went fishing for rockfish. Brave explorers from our office went out for the day on a charter fishing boat. I attempted to take lovely naps only to have a fish strike just as I was nodding off (everytime!). I caught a fish which ended up being our boat's largest fish and was the 2nd biggest of the day. The most exciting moment was when Westley was trying to bring in a fish and a cargo ship turned right towards us. It was much closer than the video shows! Shown also is my good coworker Dwayne and my boss and longtime friend Craig.

Sven and Michelle got married.

Michelle and Sven got married and it was a great wedding. It was a lovely ceremony with dancing Germans, beautiful setting and a long romantic walk with Bert. Sadly, my only surviving photos were limited but they did include me draped with two lovely ladies. Following the wedding I was the only DD left at the house so I was almost roped into driving the Bride and Groom to the Wedding after party but they figured it out. One addendum is I forgot my shoes so ended up wearing my construction boots. It was a good look.

Lincolns Do Better than Toyotas

A while back I got rear ended while driving to meetings. It gloriously happened in the middle of the 14th Street Bridge (I heard the accident being described on NPR traffic that morning). My car had some scratches and the imprint of the Toyota symbol mashed into my bumper. The Toyota that hit me was completely destroyed with loss of locomotion and his brakes. Everybody was okay and all was good (except for the huge backup in traffic we caused)
