Birds

For thanksgiving I went to the retirement center of Clan Olsen (Mom's side of the family) where my cousin showed me pictures of her feeding flamingos. Well if you know me, I love doing weird stuff so I dragged my family along to go feed flamingos. Not only did I get to do that, but there was an extremely aggressive swan/goose (I have no idea, it was black) and very loving ducks. There was also a guide who let me hold giant birds. Obviously my Mom's camera didn't work but my second cousin once removed got a whole bunch of pictures.

Land Plot

My parents and I are thinking about buying land in the Shenandoah. We looked a plot that I loved but it might not be quite worth it. But the landscape was amazing so I snapped a few photos. Hopefully something works out!

Atul & Rachna

So it turns out Atul and Rachna are getting married (or as they say in Georgia, murried). They decided to have an engagement party and I went. I stayed with Hawk while bothering Caps & Christian with a bit of dancing to Miley as well. We had a great time and I rocked out. Linda and I were the best at making jokes and devising new sports rules. Life is an adventure.

Army 10 Miler

My friend Megan and I planned to put together a group of runners to do the Army 10 Miler in D.C. We had collected a fairly large group but injuries dwindled our group until I was the last one ready to race. With an infusion of encouragement from Erin, we assembled a group of three. We drank beers, kayaked on the Potomac before rocking our race. We did great and all three of us finished with finesse. Megan with speedy legs, Erin with the conviction of a champion (and an awesome pink top which made her easy to spot), and Andy with a lot of high fiving (and bright yellow shorts). We were a dream team. Erin somehow survived in the frilliest guest bedroom ever and Megan on the comfiest sofabed in the world. Right before the girls had to skeddadle, we ate some amazing brunch (nom nom nom). I included both pictures because in one, Erin is blinking, and in one, I am.
