Leg 10- May 12- Indianola, IA

Heavy work trucks and the Bounder
The Bounder had survived 2 days away from us with the folks at the repair place.  The repair place couldn't be bothered to back it out so yours truly managed to get it out.

We scooted off as best we could across Iowa (we had a lot of ground to cover).  While looking at the Road Atlas, we discovered that at a perfect distance for our mid day stop was the National Balloon Museum.  We stopped outside and I rode the bike off to grab us lunch at nearby restaurants.  To my great delight, the A&W in town had a drive-in which allowed a goofball on a bike to order.   A reminder to all the folks reading that A&W root beer from a tap is incredible.

Following lunch, we got to enjoy the National Balloon Museum.  EP impressed the docent of the building by crawling all over the floor and screaming at balloons.  Dallas and I couldn't believe how skilled these hot air balloonists could get (they could hit targets with their balloons, how they steer is a mystery to me) and this has reaffirmed Dallas's desire to get her hot air balloon pilot's license.

Still can't believe they let me order.

EP prepares for her first ascent.

Thought it was incredible that a small musuem in the middle of Iowa had pieces of the Hindenberg
