Leg 8- May 8- Macomb, IL

Typical dinner in an RV
We stopped just be our campsite arrival at a Hyvee in Macomb.  This place was pecular for a number of reasons.  There were a large gaggle of boomers loudly talking among themselves how unchristian it was to not wear masks in front of a few people not wearing them.  In addition, there were three different women wearing tops much much smaller than a bra.  Kobra Kommander had a very fun name for the local folks of Macomb.  After a lunch break in the parking lot, we made it to the park which is lovely but happens to be overcast.  Dallas started feeling ill and it got worse after we had stopped for the evening.  She is currently asleep or else I would have her write all about today's stop.   The nuts and bolts is that Dallas went to grad school here at Western Illinois where her favorite place to unwind was Spring Hill Lake Park (but the tent camping side).  Its quite odd here as there are oodles of RVs but hardly any of them have people in them.  We will be here another evening so hopefully Dal will fill in the magic of this place.
