Leg 5- May 4- Dayton, OH

We were told to park here, unreal
One of my goals of this trip was to hit the  National Museum of the US Air Force.  The place is huge and just packed with artifacts (you could really spend a week here).  EP was excited to throw her arms in the air and make vaguely threatening hooting noises at airplanes.  Dallas enjoyed the hall of rockets and bought a copy of Baby loves Aerospace Engineering.  I had always wanted to see the WW1 exhibit, the last B36 in the world and the Apollo 15 Command Module.  I didn't know I wanted to see, but then loved it after I saw it, the Gordon Bennett Balloon Trophy, awarded 93 years ago for free ballooning.  We should absolutely have more free ballooning competitions.  Also, we met a space enthusiast who swapped stories with me and, in general, got super fired up about nerdy stuff.

EP hooted at this plane hard

Hooting at Apollo 15.  The story of this is amazing

Why are statues not this cool anymore?
