Leg 1- March 31- Hershey, PA
Stop number one included some of the best people on Earth. The clan of Brian "Hawk" Barnes. We enjoyed indian food, crashing asleep early, kids playing all over the place and good stories. Hawk is an excellent friend. Not only did he put us up in his lovely guest room, but the next morning he helped me fix my falling tailpipe and determine how to tow our Chevy Cruze. We even collaborated together to design a clevis for the brake pedal. Hawk's daughter, Rosalind, and my daughter, EP, played like champions together. EP kept trying to grab Ros' design on her shirt causing them both to tumble around. Hawk tried to scare members of his HOA into believing that he was going to park a 22 year old RV on the street and his son, Bronco, helped me fix all sorts of things that had tumbled free on the first leg of the journey. To cap things off, Dallas climbed on the roof multiple times to duct tape an AC shroud that had been damaged in the wind. She's such a beast.
