Leg 52- Nov 5- Pipe Springs, AZ and Leeds, UT
Our interim stop was Pipe Springs, AZ. I had heard it was a neat spot to stop. It turned out to be an important Paiute watering location for hundreds of years. When the Mormon Pioneers showed up, they took only 10 years of overgrazing to destroy the local ecosystem and forever change the landscape (and partially destroying the springs). EP saw her first big horned steer, we met a terrific ranger (Anda!) but then had to go on. Also, we totally had paid for our Annual Parks Pass by visiting here. We went on to Leeds, UT where we picked our mailstop (RV Parts!), then camped out to wait for our special visitor.
