Leg 51- Nov 4- Lees Ferry, AZ

We had decided to stay for the day.  Vermillion Cliffs was a sweeping vista of some of the most gorgeous, wait for it, cliffs around. EP slept at a very odd time so we got out very late in the day.  The highest recommendation we had was for a place called Cathedral Wash.  It had seven major layers of different colored rocks, in between that was multiple minor layers including one that looked like gold (I know it's not actually gold).  As we got deeper in, the temperature dropped but the rock still radiated heat on one side which kept us toasty.  EP went climbing underneath huge rocks that looked as though they were held by nothing.
